On September 11, 2025, the Consortium of Cultural Diversity in Chemistry (CCDC) hosted its annual NSF-GRFP Workshop.
The session was led by Dr. Ryan White, Interim Dean of the Graduate College, who shared valuable advice on avoiding common pitfalls in grant writing and answered questions from attendees.
This workshop is a great resource for senior undergraduates and graduate students—especially first-year students—interested in applying for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF-GRFP).

Thank you to our professional development chair, Angelica Pernia, for organizing, and to all who attended. Special thanks to Dr. Ryan White for leading the session.
We look forward to seeing more UC Chemistry students apply!
